Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 16, 2026

Terms of Service governing the use of DisplayDuo software, subscriptions, and licensing.

1. Overview

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DisplayDuo macOS application, Android application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by DisplayDuo ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

DisplayDuo enables you to use an Android tablet or phone as a second extended or mirrored display for your Mac over a USB cable or local Wi-Fi network, including touch scrolling and stylus input.

3. Free Trial & Subscription License

DisplayDuo provides a 7-day free trial on macOS without requiring a payment method. After the trial expires, an active paid subscription (1-month, 3-month, or 1-year plan) is required to continue streaming from your Mac. The Android companion app is free of charge.

Each active subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to activate and use DisplayDuo on up to two (2) Mac computers that you own or control. If you wish to activate a third Mac, you can release one of your existing activated Macs within the app.

4. Billing, Renewals & Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (1 month, 3 months, or 1 year) unless canceled prior to the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time via the subscription management link included in your Paddle receipt email or by contacting us at [email protected].

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, redistribute, sublicense, or circumvent the licensing or activation mechanisms of DisplayDuo, or use the Service in violation of applicable laws.

6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DisplayDuo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, and our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
